Turtleback Books, May 1, 1994 - Juvenile Nonfiction - 117 pages
Why do crickets chirp at one another and wrestle? Why do spittlebugs cover themselves with foam? The answers to these and numerous other questions can be found in this intriguing interactive guide to approximately 25 common insects. Each chapter covers a particular bug, what it looks like, where to find it, catching it and keeping it, along with several interesting aspects of the insect's behavior. Both fun and educational, the book is useful for field trips and classroom or home activities.
