I have dealt with the cast-based theories, social customs and the ailment of discriminating which has adverse effects in Indian society. The division of society based on caste system was seriously viewed by reformers like Gautam Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and others. Their teachings and reforming zeal had much effect in alleviating their socio-economic stature. But still much is to be done in this direction. This work will be useful for social scientists, teachers, scholars and students in India and abroad. |
