After finishing a business degree in Melbourne, Sarina bought a one-way ticket to India where she completed a corporate traineeship with the Sheraton. She later swapped hotels for newspapers, working as a freelance journalist and foreign correspondent. After four years in India, Sarina returned to Australia, pursued postgraduate journalism qualifications and wrote/directed Beyond the Royal Veil, a television documentary about contemporary Indian 'royalty'. She has worked on almost 20 Lonely Planet books including Rajasthan and Pakistan & the Karakoram Highway. She has also contributed to various international publications such as the Sunday Times and National Geographic Traveler and is the author of Polo in India. As well as Delhi, Sarina wrote most of the front chapters and Directory and Transport.
