About the author (2008)


Dr Mina Davies Morel graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture (Animal Science) from Nottingham University in 1982 and went on to be appointed as a Research assistant at Aberystwyth University and to study for her PhD into Embryo mortality in ewes. After earning her PhD she was awarded a Post Doctoral Fellowship by the Animal Health Trust (Wooldridge Farm Livestock Fellowship) and, with the aid of a grant from the Meat and Livestock Commission, continued her research at Aberystwyth University. She was then appointed lecturer in 1989 with the specific role of developing the Equine courses and department. I currently manage the MSc Equine Science and have a research interest in early equine pregnancy.
