P.K. Mohanty

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mohanty is now working as Director, Flood Control & Drainage in Department of Water Resources, Government of Odisha. He graduated in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College (Now NIT), Rourkela in the year 1982. He acquired Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing from IIRS, Dehradun in 1987 and obtained PhD from Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar in 2013. He has more than 32 years of experience in Water Resources sector, which includes 8 years in disaster management. He has authored a book on Biostatistics, which is an approved text book in many Universities in Odisha and outside the State as well. He had completed Executive Management course in Utah State University, USA in 1990 and visited countries like, Germany, France and Hongkong. He is a member in the course curriculum committee of AICTE. He teaches Statistics and Quantitative Techniques to the students of Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Forestry, BBA and MBA, as Gust Faculty in various Engineering and Management Institutions in Odisha. He has published about 7 papers in reputed International Journals with high impact factors on optimization approaches in food security.

S.K. Patel

Dr. Saroj Kumar Patel is now working as Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department of National institute of Technology, Rourkela. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in the year 1985. Initially he served with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Koraput Division, Sunabeda. He obtained M.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, 1. Chennai and Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has 5 years of industrial experience and 25 years of teaching and research experience. His areas of research include operations management, optimization, industrial engineering and quality assurance. He has published research papers around 50 international journals and 50 conference proceedings. He is also a co-author in the book “S.N.Alam, S.Islam and S.K.Patel, Advanced Guide to MATLAB: Practical Examples in Science and Engineering, IK International Publishing House, New Delhi, 2015”.
