It seems that between Ksantyā' and ' dhara' there is a compound letter, but I think that the letter dha was twice unsuccessfully attempted and then the letter was left as an erased one.
This line to indicate a stop seems to be misplaced; it should have been pt after pravaro', as 'gunaih has to be construed with the succeeding words.
['] Read 'răsit' ie., 'sit' as joined in sandhi with a word of two letters not deciphered. If the undeciphered letters be 'sadhu then the first letter is the modern Karui letter 'sa', which is really the Telegu 'sa' in form. I suggest 'Surasca.'
It should be 'ta' and not 'sta '; after this the letter da' is required to be put in both for meaning and metre.

(2) TRANSLATION OF THE TEXT.
With remarks in brackets.
(Om in symbol.) There was the sage Kasyapa who performed great austerities (1.1). From him (tad-vaṁśe, 7.1) descends this (ayam) Bhanja-vamśa (1.2); and in olden times (pura) in this family of pure origin (asminśuddhānvaye, 7, 2) many great (Sresthah, 1.2) kings (bhūbhujah, 7.3) were born (babhūbuh) [Six letters between purā and sresthāh not having been deciphered the full translation of the whole line could not be given] (1.2, 3). Ten villages forming one consolidated group (panca sthānaṁ pancottaram tatha) were gifted by those kings as a sāsuna or
For want of space here the two letters 'ti' and 'rtha' were not engraved side by side, but one was engraved over the other. The last syllable 'iti' is an addition merely; and as such should be read separately to maintain the correctness of the metre.
