One of the people in the reviews wrote that they want a book that introduces them to the concept of hybridization in a much easier way (not by MO theory). I am a CBSE 10+2 student and I wold recommend you to try the NCERT book 10+1 chemistry part 1 textbook. Chapter 4 chemical bonding and molecular structure. Provided below is a download link for that chapter:
http://ncert.nic.in/NCERTS/l/kech104.pdf
They introduce the concept of hybridization to you through sigma and pi bonding of s- p- and d- orbitals, Valance bond theory and overlapping of these orbitals. I would recommend you to start referring from page 113 to 121
Sorry but there are oly the following hybridization in the above mentioned textbook
sp, sp2, sp3, sp3d, and sp3d2 hybridization once you get introduced to the concept i believe you will be able to understand the other hybridization and write them in a simple way as mentioned in the NCERT textbook.
If you want to know the basics try to use the same above mentioned NCERT textbook of grades (or classes in India) 08 (textbook name: SCIENCE), 09 (textbook name: SCIENCE), 10 (textbook name: SCIENCE), 10+1 (textbook name: CHEMISTRY (PART I AND PART II)), 10+2 (textbook name: CHEMISTRY (PART I AND PART II)). Here you can find the knowledge about the atoms and molecules from the basics itself. If you want to know the basis about Acids Bases and Salts the try referring to the NCERT SCIENCE textbook of class 07. In the given below link you will be able to find the option to browse to any textbook of NCERT online itself for free:

Hope You Find It Useful
