About the author (1999)

CHRISTIAN D. VON DEHSEN is a professor of religion at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He has published a collaborated book, Policy and Politics: The Genesis and Theology of Social Statements in the Lutheran Church in America, and was the book review editor for the Lutheran Forum. He received his M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the Union Theological Seminary in New York.
