Principles of quantm mechanics by R.Shankar took me to a bewildering world of quantum world,developing the mathematical concept first, and then a long run for conceptual development...if one wishes to have a book of quantum world, then this is the best choice.

I found helpful this book to fill gaps and understanding difficult problems in an easy manner. Although it find itself short if you want to be an expert on the field. Yet, this book is an excellent companion in any quantum mechanics course and in other courses for applications of special functions.
