The Jews persecute Jesus.

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and e! knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him. Wilt thou be made whole?

The impotent man answered him, Sir, I haveƒ no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, g take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And inimediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked and on h the same day was the sabbath.

10 T The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath-day: i it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

The resurrection foretold

23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the 'Father. He that honoureth not the Son, honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

21 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He u that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed v from death unto life.

25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead w shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.

26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life x in himself;

14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sinm no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath-day.

17 But Jesus answered them, My n Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill o him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making p himself equal with God. 19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, q The Son can do nothing

of himself, but what he seeth the Father do for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

20 Forr the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even s so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

He walketh on the sea.

12 When they were filled, c he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing d be lost..

13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that e prophet that should come into the world.

15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

to be the bread of life.

45 It is written d in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every mane therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46 Not ƒ that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, g he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, h He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 Ii am that bread of life.

49 Your fathers did eat manna m the wilderness, and k are dead.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and I not die.

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, m which I will give for the life n of the world.

52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How o can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except p ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

51 Whoso q eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 For my flesh is meat indeed, r and my blood is drink indeed.

56 He that eateth's my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelletht in me, and I in him.

57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers v did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Caper

naum.

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said. This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend w up where he was before?
