Greenwood Press, 2001 - Biography & Autobiography - 1040 pages

Until now, most Monroe scholarship has been limited to the resources available at the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library, the Monroe Museum, and the College of William and Mary. These collections are only a portion of the widely scattered material that is available. With some 35,800 entries, representing 182 libraries and archives in the United States and Great Britain, this catalogue provides researchers with access to the wider corpus of Monroe papers, including letters written by and to Monroe, documents pertaining to his private affairs, important public documents, and official accounts of governmental bodies.
