Dieselbe (eine kurze Geschichte Frankreichs von den ältesten Zeiten bis auf Ludwig XII. enthaltend) liegt nur als Probe späterer Kalligraphie und eleganter Nachahmung älterer Handschriften aus. Da sie laut der Vorrede der Königin Anna von Frankreich, Gemahlin Ludwigs XIII., und zwar noch bei Lebzeiten desselben, gewidmet ist, so fällt ihre Abfassung in die Zeit zwischen 1615. und 1643. In der erwähnten Vorrede heisst es aber:,,Ego autem, virago praestantissima et unicum in terris sidus fulgens, tuo intuitui omnia Francorum gesta describens censui paucis multa perstringere faciamque ut qui terrarum situs pingunt, in brevi quasi tabella totam eorum imaginem amplectar, ut parvo temporis intervallo egregia Francorum gesta cognoscens invictum consortem tuum Ludovicum christianissimum Francorum regem maiorum suorum exemplo ad orthodoxae fidei protectionem accendas." II. HANDSCHRIFTEN MIT MALEREIEN VOM 10-15. JAHRHUNDERT. 30. Fragment eines Evangelienbuches. Einzelnes, vor mehreren Jahren von einer Buchschale losgelöstes Pergamentblatt aus einer mindestens dem 10. Jahrhunderte angehörigen Handschrift. Es stellt den Evangelisten Lucas dar, wie er vor einem Tische sitzt und schreibt. Links steht eine offenstehende Kiste mit Bücherrollen. Vgl.
