This book is more then I could hope for! It teaches all the java essentials, from setting up the compiler to building a GUI. It taught me most of what I know. The one thing I dislike about this book is that it is occasionally difficult to understand, but over all I am very pleased with this it and advise you to buy it if you are looking to learn Java.
