185. A SMALL animal, ftuffed, found on the banks of Braid Burn, a fpecies of the ermine. In the fummer, it is brown on the back, but in winter it is pure white; its tail is terminated with smooth black hairs, about an inch long, which never change their colour. Also, the scalp of a French foldier, taken by the Indians in Canada, in the war before the laft; to which is appended a long queue of plaited hair, tied at the end with a red ribbon.
