PUBLICK ACTS.

OR continuing and granting to his Majefty certain duties upon malt, mum, cyder, and perry, for the service of the year one thousand seven hundred and ninetyseven.

Cap. 2. For granting an aid to his Majefty by a land tax, to be raised in Great Britain, for the service of the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety-feven.

Cap. 3. For providing an augmentation to the militia to be trained and exercised in the manner therein directed; and for enabling his Majefty to cause the fame to be embodied, in case of neceffity, for the defence of these kingdoms.

Cap. 4. For raifing a certain number of men, in the feveral counties in England for the fervice of his Majesty's army and

navy.

Cap. 5. For raising a certain number of men in the feveral counties, ftewartries, royal burghs, and towns, in that part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the fervice of his Majesty's army and navy.
