About the author (2010)

I've practically walked my legs off researching for Lonely Planet so any opportunity to get on a bike is welcome. Away from its car-chocked main roads, pancake-flat St Petersburg is a great city for cycling and it's certainly fun pedalling around vast, traffic-free Palace Square.
