The most pleasant Song of Lady Bessy, the eldest Daughter of King Edward the Fourth, and how she married King Henry the Seventh of the House of Lancaster. With Notes, by Thomas Heywood, FA.S. Lond. 1829. Crown 8vo. pp. 82. Privately printed. This curious little poem, which is very well edited, appears, from internal evidence, to have been written by Humphry Brereton. It relates to the life and marriage of Elizabeth of York, Queen of Henry VII., and from having been originally composed at the time in which she lived, is of some historical value.-Another edition by the Percy Society.

The King joined an Injunction by way of preface, declaring the pains he and his clergy had undergone for removing all differences in religion. About this time the King set forth his injunctions to retrench the number of holydays, and Lord Cromwell also set forth other injunctions to the clergy, which probably were printed by Berthelet.
