This volume contains a preface in German and French; the life of Esop in French; ninety-nine fables of Æsop, translated into French and German, in parallel columns, with an engraved head-piece to each fable: a selection of the fables of Phædrus and Philelphus, in French and German: a selection of the fables of la Motte, and a parallel translation in German: the fables of Pilpai; and the duties of an honest man; or political, moral, and critical maxims, selected from the writings of the most celebrated authors of the eighteenth century.
