About the author (2007)

Dr. Smarajit Ghosh (Ph.D., IIT Kharagpur) is Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Thapar University, Patiala. His special areas of interest include load flow studies, network reconfigurations, application of fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, and differential evolution in electric power distribution systems. He has published several papers in international and national journals, and guided research scholars in the area of electric power distribution systems.
