A very interesting, thought provoking book about South Indian mythology & religion where I come from, showing the importance of knowing the true creator of heaven and earth, with all its beauty, and the most beautiful of His creation His people through Adam and Eve to commune day and night. A 'very good' read when we know the triune God said after His completion, Man and Woman are 'very good' before the fall and after the fall 'very good' (the Best) through the Blood of Jesus. Praise God for sending His son Lord Jesus as redemption for all forms of sins and different mythologies of varied people groups in S. Indian Shanar (rich or poor) community. Thank you for Danish, German missionaries like Ziegenbalg, Barthalolomaeus who brought justice to suffering woman and humanity in his time.
This work is probably the earliest ethnographic account of religion at the Indian grassroots. A missionary product nonetheless but an important contribution to Indian Orientalist project.
