HIS EXCELLENCY SIR JOHN MICHEL, K.C.B.

THE HONORABLE ALEXANDER TILLOCH GALT.

THE REV. HENRY WILKES, D.D.

COLONEL THE HONORABLE JOHN HAMILTON GRAY.

LIEUT. COLONEL JOSEPH BOUCHETTE.

NOTE.

We invite all who sympathize with our object to assist us in our work. The portraits of many persons who in the past history of these Provinces filled positions of honor and responsibility are said to be still extant. In the interest of the public, as well as for the furtherance of our plan, we should deem it a privilege to photograph such Portraits. Furthermore we shall feel obliged for any written information in regard to the families, services, and history of such individuals. Such information may enable us to preserve what might be otherwise hopelessly lost.

Communications may be addressed to the publisher, WM. NOTMAN, Montreal, or to the Editor, FENNINGS TAYLOR, Deputy Clerk, and Clerk Assistant of the Legislative Council, Ottawa.

Entered, according to the Act of the Provincial Parliament, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, by WILLIAM NOTMAN, in the Office of the Registrar of the Province of Canada.

The right of translation reserved.
