Sir Chaloner Ogle failed with the Fleet and Tranfports towards the End of October, in Order to join ViceAdmiral Vernon. He arrived at St. Chriftopher's the latter End of Decem. ber, where Lord Cathcart, Comman der in Chief of the Land Forces, died after fome Days Illness, and the Command devolved upon Brigadier General Wentworth. They arrived at Port-Royal, and joined Admiral Vernon, in January following.
