The Life and Tragedy of the heroicall Lady, Mary Queen of Scotts. A MS. English poem, by John Woodward, in the Advocates' Library at Edinburgh. Another memoir, in Italian, by Francisco Marcaldi, in MS., is mentioned by Nicolson in his Scottish Historical Library. In a catalogue published by Rivingtons Old copies of it are not very uncommon. and Cochran in 1824, was a curious MS. relating to the proceedings against Mary.

In the Bodleian Library are sundry broadsides relating to Mary Queen of Scots, with portraits. See Dr. Dibdin's Libr. Comp. p. 267; and in a valuable little publication entitled 'The Crypt,' is a chronological list of publications, 168 in number, relative to this unfortunate princess. The question of Queen Elizabeth's real intentions, as to the execution of Mary, is minutely discussed in Mr. Nicolas's Life of Secretary Davison, 1823, 8vo.
