XXI. An Act for enabling Ecclesiastical Corporate Bodies, under certain Circumstances, to alienate Lands for enlarging Cemeteries or Church-yards. [2d July 1816.]

WHEREAS the population of Great Britain, and more particularly in the metropolis and its vicinity, and in other cities and great towns, has greatly increased, and the churches and chapels now existing in the metropolis and its vicinity, and in many great and populous parishes and extra-parochial places, are inadequate to the accommodation of the inhabitants thereof: and whereas it is therefore necessary that such evil should be remedied, and that additional churches and chapels for the celebration of Divine service, according to the Rites of the United Church of England and Ireland, as by law established, should be
