NEWSPAPERS.

The following 88 lots comprise one of the most interesting and extensive Collections of Newspapers which has been offered at public sale for some time past. The Collection includes papers issued in all parts of the United States and Canada during the first half of the last century. Many of the issues, especially those in the Western and Southern States, were published in what were then small towns, or new cities, and are almost impossible to obtain at this late day, while the Literature, Politics and Local News which they contain are of the utmost importance both to the Historian and the Student of American Ĥistory, and in many cases can be found in no other way.
