Finden's Landscape and Portrait Illustrations to the Life and Works of Lord Byron. With original and selected information on the subjects of the Engravings by W. Brockedon. 3 vols., large 8vo, cloth. London, 1833, 4.

Brockedon died in 1854. He displayed no ordinary talent in the various departments of painting, historical, landscape and portrait, which he combined in his practice. — Ottley.

Road-Book from London to Naples. Illustrated with 25 Views from Drawings by Stanfield, Prout and Brockedon. Engraved by W. and E. Finden. Large 8vo, cloth. London, 1835.

Stanfield, an artist by natural gift, owed much to his brief nautical experience, which revealed to him, in the full force of truth, incidents and appearances which to many are matters of speculation and poetical mystification. Hence the simple truthfulness of all his representations and the genuine feeling displayed in their treatment. Prout was eminent as a water-color painter. He displayed a broad and bold mode of representing architectural features, felt to be true, and hence gratifying to the general eye. Ottley.
