The dedication to Sir Henry Montagu, Recorder of the Citie of London, is signed D. T. It has been suggested that these are the initials of Thomas Dekker reversed, but the tract does not show any of the characteristics of Dekker's work, and it is more likely that the initials are those of Daniel Tuvill. It is interspersed with a good deal of verse mostly translation from classical authors. In the last chapter "Of Sentences wherewith to Beautifie and Grace the Stile" will be found a quotation from Edmond Spenser.
