Three-quarter length, standing, uniform, right hand on hip, left on paper (lettered Arti. of Convention between Genl. Gates and Genl. Burgoyne) on table to right, on which lies letter addressed Gen. Gates, and hat, in background to left, tents, cannon, and flag with stripes.
