in the Eighth Year of the Reign of His late Ma jesty King George the Second, intituled An Act for the better regulating the Nightly Watch and Beadles within the Two Parishes of Saint James, and Saint George Hanover Square, within the Liberties of the City of Weftminster, fo far as relates to the faid Parifh of Saint George Hanover Square; and alfo an Act made in the Twenty-fixth Year of the Reign of His faid late Majefty, intituled An Act for the better Relief and Employment of the Poor in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square, within the Liberty of the City of Westminster, and for cleansing the Streets, and repairing the Highways, within the faid Parifh; and alfo an A&t made in the Fourteenth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled An Act for the better Regulation of the Nightly Watch and Beadles within the City and Liberty of Westminster, and Parts adjacent, and for other Purposes therein mentioned; fo far as relates to the faid Parish of Saint George Hanover Square ; and also an Act made in the Twenty-fecond Year of the Reign of His prefent Majesty, intituled An Act for better paving, cleanfing, and lighting Part of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square, in the County of Middlefex, and fuch Part of Old Bond Street as lies within the Parish of Saint James, in the faid County, and for removing and preventing Nuifances and Annoyances therein; and alfo all other Acts of Parliament heretofore made, fo far as the fame in anywife relate to paving, repairing, cleanfing, lighting, and watching, or removing or preventing Nuifances, Annoyances, or Incroachments within any of the Streets, and other publick Paf fages and Places, within the Limits of this Act, fhall be and are hereby repealed.

LXXXVII. And

LXXXVII. And be it further enacted, That all Expences of Cofts, Charges, and Expences attending the ob- the A&. taining and paffing this Act, fhall be paid out of any Money raised or to be raised for the Relief of the Poor, for repairing the Highways, for defraying the Expence of the Beadles, Watchmen, and Patrols, and for paving, repairing, cleanfing, and lighting the Streets and other publick Paffages and Places within the faid Parifh, in fuch Proportions as the faid Veftry fhall order and direct.

LXXXVIII. And be it further enacted, That this Publick A&. A&t fhall be deemed and taken to be a Publick A&t; and shall be judicially taken Notice of as fuch by all Judges, Juftices, and other Perfons, without fpe cially pleading the fame.

CA P. XXXVIII.

An Act for more effectually paving, cleansing, lighting, watching, and regulating certain Parts of Piccadilly and Park Lane, in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square, in the County of Middlefex; and also the feveral Squares, Streets, Lanes, and other public Paffages and Places within the faid Parish; and for altering and enlarging the Powers of an Act of the Twenty-ninth Year of His prefent Majefty, relative to the above Purposes, and to the Poor of the faid Parish.

HEREAS by an Act, paffed in the Sixth Year of the Reign of His present Majefty, intituled An Act for putting the Road from Clarges 6 G. 3. c. 54. Street to Hyde Park Corner, and from the South End of Park Lane to the North Side of Hertford Street, in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square, in the County of Middlefex, now under the Directions of the Acts for repairing the Roads in the Parishes of Kenfington, Chelsea, Fulham, and Saint George Hanover

Hanover Square, in the County of Middlefex, under the Management of the Commiffioners for paving, cleanfing, and lighting the Squares, Streets, Lanes, and other Places in Westminster, it was directed, that from and after the paffing of the said A&t the said Road leading from the End of Clarges Street to the then present Turnpike Gate near Hyde Park Corner, and from the South End of Park Lane to the North Side of Hertford Street, in the faid Parish of Saint George Hanover Square, fhould be under the Care, Management, and Direction of the faid Commiffioners for paving, cleansing, and lighting the Squares, Streets, Lanes, and other Places within the City and Liberty of Westminster, and other Places; and that in order to enable the faid Commiffioners effectually to pave, cleanfe, light, keep in repair, and regulate the faid Roads leading from the End of Clarges Street to the then prefent Turnpike Gate near Hyde Park Corner, and from the South End of Park Lane to the North Side of Hertford Street in the faid Parifh of Saint George Hanover Square, the Trustees for the Time being to an Act of the Twelfth Year of the Reign of King George the First, and to an A&t of the Fourteenth Year of His late Majefty King George the Second, and to any future Act or Acts of Parliament for repairing the feveral Roads in the Parishes of Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham, in the County of Middlefex, by the faid Acts directed to be repaired, fhould pay or caufe to be paid yearly and every Year, during the Continuance of the faid Acts, to the faid Commiffioners for putting in Execution the feveral Acts of Parliament for paving, cleansing, and lighting the Squares, Streets, Lanes, and other Places in the faid Acts mentioned, or any Three or more of them, or to fuch Perfon or Perfons as fhould be by them authorized and appointed to receive the
