crated, then, from and immediately after Eafterday next enfuing the Confecration thereof, be deemed and taken to be of itself a distinct Parish, to all Intents and Purposes whatsoever; and from thenceforth the Inhabitants within the distinct Limits of fuch New Parish, fhall be the Parishioners feparate from, thereof, and be divided and feparated from the faid and independ- Parish of St. Martin in the Fields, as to their Veftry and Parish Officers, and Rates for the Church and Relief of the Poor, Highways, and other Parish Rates within the Limits thereof, and fhall be divided and exempt from the faid Parifh of St. Martin in the Fields, and from bearing any Offices or Charges therein, and from all Dependencies and Contributions in refpect thereof; and fuch Divifion of the faid Parishes hereby made shall be perpetual, and to all Intents and Purposes as effectual, and be deemed and taken to be within the Intent and Meaning of the feveral Statutes relating to the faid Fifty New Churches, in fuch and the fame Manner as if the fame had been fubfequent to the Confecration of the said New Church there intended to be erected as aforefaid, and had been made by the faid Commiffioners for Churches, with the Confent of the Vicar, Churchwardens, and Overfeers of the Poor of the faid Parish of St. Martin in the Fields, and of their Ordinary, by Inftrument in Writing under their Hands and Seals, and had been in all other Refpects made pursuant to the Statutes in that Behalf lately made and provided.

Provided always neverthelefs, That the Inhabitants of the faid New Parifh fhall contribute and be rateable to the said Parifh of St. Martin in the Fields, for and towards the faid Sum of Two and twenty 22,000l. till thousand Pounds intended by this Act to be raised as aforefaid, till the fame fhall be fully raised and

Provided alfo, That nothing herein contained Refervation shall extend, or be conftrued to extend, to hinder of Tithes and customary or deprive Thomas Green, Doctor of Divinity, the Dues, &c. prefent Vicar of the said Parish of St. Martin, from from the New having and receiving (during his Incumbency) all Parish to Dr. fuch ufual Tithes, Oblations, Obventions, Mor- Green, the tuaries, Eafter Books or Offerings, and other prefent Vicar. Parochial Dues whatfoever, as fhall arife and be

long to him from the Inhabitants of the said Out Wards, and as he the faid Vicar of St. Martin now enjoyeth.

O all Men to whom these Prefents fhall come, the Moft Reverend Father in God William Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, Primate of all England, and Metropolitan; the Right Reverend Father in God Edmund Lord Bishop of London, the Right Reverend Father in God Richard late Lord Bishop of Gloucefler, now Lord Bishop of Winchester; the Right Reverend Father in God John late Lord Bishop of Litchfield and Coventry, now Lord Bishop of Worcester; William late Lord Bifhop of Salisbury, now Lord Bishop of Durham; John Lord Bilhop of St. Afaph, White Lord Bishop of Peterborough, late Dean of the Cathedral Church

of Ely; Sir Ifaac Newton Knight, John Bettefworth Doctor of Laws, Official Principal of the Arches, and Judge of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury; George Paul Doctor of Laws, Vicar General to the faid Lord Archbishop of Canterbury; Sir Nathaniel Lloyd Knight, Doctor of Laws, and the King's Advocate General; John Hiccocks, John Meller, William Melmoth, John Ellis, William Farrer, and Edward Peck, Efquires; Twenty of the Commiffioners (amongst others) nominated and appointed by His prefent Majefty King George, by His Letters Patent under the Great Seal of Great Britain, bearing Date at Westminster the Second Day of December, in the Second Year of His faid Majefty's Reign, to be Commiffioners for putting in Execution the several Powers and Authorities contained in an Act of Parliament made in the Ninth Year of the Reign of Her late Majefty Queen Anne, intituled An Act for granting to Her Majefty feveral Duties on Coals, for building Fifty New Churches in and about the City of London and Westminster, and Suburbs thereof; and other Purposes therein mentioned: And One other Act made in the Tenth Year of the Reign of Her faid late Majesty, for enlarging the Time given to the Commiffioners appointed pursuant to the faid former Act, and alfo for giving the Commiffioners further Power for better effecting the fame; and for appointing Monies for rebuilding the Parish Church of St. Mary Woolnoth in the City of London: And in One other Act made in the First Year of His present Majefty's Reign, intituled An Act for making Provifion for the Minifters of the Fifty New Churches which are to be built in and about the City of London and Westminster, and the Suburbs thereof; and for rebuilding and finishing the Parish Church of St. Mary Woolnoth in the faid City of London,
