HYMN 91. “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.” 1 HEAR what the voice from heaven proclaims, For all the pious dead; And soft their sleeping bed. 2 They die in Jesus, and are bless'd; How kind their slumbers are ! And freed from every snare. They're present with the Lord; The labours of their mortal life End in a large reward. HYMN 92. To teach her children how to die; Needs more than reason can supply; Alone can cheer him in the end. And every earthly hope is fled; What then can soothe his dying bed? He's blest e'en then if thou art near. 3 The gospel does salvation bring, And Jesus is the gospel's theme; And triumph in the Saviour's nanie : “ O grave, where is thy victory ?” Whose peace is made through Jesus' blood; And know that he indeed is God: HYMN 93. 1 2 Consolation for Mourners.
