Each Work has but one principal descriptive Entry. This Entry is under the Author's Name when on the Title-page or otherwise known. Anonymous Works, whose Authors' Names are unknown, are placed under the chief subject word of the Title. English or French Books having no place of publication named are to be considered as published respectively in London or Paris. In Cross-References the word “See” is omitted, the Entry referred to being printed in Italics. The word Addenda (contracted Add.) refers to the Supplementary List of Books to be found on page 455. A Classified Index of Subjects will be found at the end of the Catalogue. The present volume has been prepared by Mr. A. MYNOTT, the Librarian of the Club, under the superintendence of the Library Committee. Much assistance has been derived from the Catalogue of the London Library, especially with regard to the Classified Index. April, 1887. CATALOGUE OF THE LIBRARY OF THE OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE CLUB.
