To each of the prayers is prefixed a wood-cut illustrative of the subject treated of. Some of these cuts are very similar to those found in the Romish Books of Devotion of the same period. This is a singular circumstance as it shews that the German Reformers had not that horror of pictures, &c. which subsequently took possession of the Continental Presbyterians and English Puritans.
