()* the 20th day of January 1871, the Hon. Sir C. H. SCOTLAND, Chief Justice, left Madras for a short period; and the Hon. W. HOLLOWAY was appointed to act as Chief Justice, On the 18th day of February 1871, the Hon. Sir C. H. SCOTLAND returned to Madras and resumed the office of Chief Justice. On the 30th day of July 1871, the Hon. C. COLLETT resigned. On the 27th day of November 1871, the Hon. Sir C. H. Scor LAND resigned, and the Hon. Sir WALTER MORGAN entered upon his duties as Chief Justice of Madras, |
