Murchison, Governor of Prince Wa es' Island, Singapore and Malacca, reported his departure from Prince of Wales' Island for Calcutta on the 6 h iustant, preparatory to applying for leave to proceed to England on Furlough. Mr. Bonham took cha ge of the Government of those Settlements on the same date under the Orders of the Right Hon'ble th- Governor of Bengal. The Right Hon'ble the Governor of Bengal has complied with the application of Mr. Eward Dedes for leave to proceed to Europe on Furlough in the present season. Mr. W. st. Q Quintin, of the Civil Service, has been permitted to proceed to England on Furlough under Medical Certificate.
