Daye, Anno 1577, In Septemb., folio (133), Mar. 22, Sotheby Rosenbach, £1,210 [A very fine copy. Has numerous manuscript marginal alterations in a contemporary hand, apparently made from a manuscript copy of the book (cp. on a 2 recto the note on the letter to Dee from Martin Frobisher and Christopher Hall, "This is omitted in the MS."). It has always been thought that 100 copies of this book were printed, owing to a note to that effect on K 4 recto. In this copy "50" has been substituted in manuscript in the margin. A note on the fly-leaf attributes the manuscript additions to Dr. Dee himself, but the writing differs from the specimens of his hand with which it has been compared.]
