This amazing book I read when I was 12 (1969). I bought it at a used book sale at a local school, started reading it and it was like being struck by lightning. It activated me and set me on a path to a solid future. My favourite quotation I got from one of the chapter headings: "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose, the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt." which is from Shakespeare.
Although old, this book is full of timeless wisdom, remaining to this day a favourite book.
