1. Four-fifths of the Profits are divided triennially amongst the Assured.

In some offices the Assured may not be entitled to a Bonus until the expiration of 10 years from the time of effecting the Policy, whilst in this office 3 years is the utmost limit.

2. At the first division of Profits, in May 1853, a Reversionary Bonus, averaging 45 per cent., was declared on all Participating Policies. In some cases the Bonus exceeded 61 per cent. on the premiums paid.

On reference to the Prospectuses of some of the principal offices, it will be found that the Bonus on their first division was much less, viz., 29 per cent.

3. The next division of Profits will be declared in May 1856, when all Policies effected in 1855 will participate.

In most offices Insurers do not participate in the Profits until after payment of from three to five annual premiums, but in this Office they may participate on payment of a single premium.

Advantages to the Profession.

A Commission of 10 per cent. is allowed on the first yer's Premium, and 5 per cent. annually afterwards; and, as an additional advantage to persons introducing business, the Shareholders have by the Deed of Settlement given up half of their Profits for the benefit of such persons as extra Commission.

covers for the preservation of every variety game; a fine sheet of water, and various ponds, well stored with fish, with

parts of the river Teme, are amongst the attractive features of the estate; also extensive orchards, now in their prime, and very fruitful, having produced 100 hogsheads of the choicest cider in a season. The Mansion, which is substantially built, and placed near the centre of the estate, contains within itself much excellent arrangement and general comfort, and is approached by a neat rural entrance lodge, with carriage-drive winding along the rich woodland scenery of the park, and crossing the bridge over the lake ascends to the beautiful sloping verdant lawn, commanding views on all sides impossible for description to approach, but in which hill and dale, the varied hues of dispersedly grouped masses of foliage, the charm of water, nature and art, have united to form some of the most enchanting scenes this favoured county can produce. The farm-buildings adjacent are adapted for occupation therewith, and afford a favourable opportunity: for any nobleman or gentleman to indulge in the fashionable pursuits of agriculture, and stall feeding, with which he may combine agreeable society and exhilarating field sports. There are also eight cottages and gardens upon various parts of the estates. The property is intersected by excellent roads, and abuts upon the lands and preserves of Wm." Berkeley, Esq., Rev. John Hopton, John Walpole Willis, Esq. and the Rev. John Timbrell, D.D..
