William Hacket late of Oundel in the County London ff. of Northampton Yeoman, as a falfe Traytor against the most excellent and Chriftian Princess our Sovereign Lady Elizabeth, by the grace of God, of England, France, and Ireland, Queen, defender of the Faith, &c. his natural and Sovereign liege Lady, having not the fear of God in bis beart, nor weighing bis due allegiance, but feduced by the inftigation of the Devil, maliciously and traiterously, compaffing, imagining, devifing, and intending the deprivation and depofing of our faid Sovereign Lady Elizabeth, from her bonour and royal name of the Imperial Crown of this Realm of England, on the 21ft day of July, in the 33d year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Elizabeth now Queen of England, at London, that is to fay, in the Parish of St. Brides in the Ward of Farringdon extra London, and divers other days and times, betwixt the 12th of February last past, and the 25th day of July, in the faid 33d year of her Majefties Reign, as well in the Parish and Ward aforesaid, as elfewhere in London aforesaid, of his own perverse and traiterous mind, and imagination, malicionfly, exprefly, advisedly, directly, and traiterously in the prefence and bearing of fundry faithful Subjects of our faid Sovereign Lady, thefe falfe, malicious, and traiterous English words fol lowing, concerning our faid Sovereign Lady the Queen's Majefty, falfly, maliciously, advisedly, S2

exprefly, directly, and traiterously faid, rehearsed, published, and poke, viz. That the Queen's Majefty (meaning thereby our faid Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth) was not Queen of England: and that the Queen's Majesty (meaning thereby our faid Sovereign Queen Elizabeth) did reprefent all bypocrify, and had forfeited ber Crown, and was worthy to be deprived, and that be bad been of that opinion this four years: and that he defaced her Arms in Kayes house (thereby meaning the house of one Ralph Kayes fituate and being in Knightrider-ftreet in the Parish of St. Gregory near Pauls in the Ward of Baynard's Caftle London) to take away her whole power of her Authority, and was moved thereunto by the fpirit, and that he neinor is forry therefore, to the great Scandal and derogation of the perfon and Royalty of our faid Sovereign Lady the Queen, and to the fubverfion of the State of this Realm of England, and contrary to the form of a ftatute in this cafe made and provided, and alfo against the peace of our faid Sovereign Lady, ber Crown and dignities,

Being asked whether he were guilty to this Indictment or not? he confeffed and pleaded guilty adding this, All must be as you will. Whereupon Mr. Attorney-General defired for the Queen, his confeffion of the Indictment might be entred.
