To the fecond, That he was the only principal Man fent of God to decide the Controverfies of the Gospel of Chrift in the World, or in England, or in Europe; into which Controverfies fome bad Perfons (being Enemies to him and to the Gospel in England, and fome of them being great Perfonages) had drawn him to enter by their Cruel, Unjust, and Extraordinary Practices and Treacheries, or Sorceries ufed against him: and that by him, as by a principal Angel of God (with

Coppinger and Arthington's Speeches.

That Hacket is a Man dearer or nearer unto God in fome refpects, than Mofes or John the Divine, who wrote the Revelation; because he must (as it were) bring an accomplishment unto their Prophefies, and bath a more excellent Spirit or work to do than they in some respects.

Hacket's Answer.

To the third, That God would do a greater Work by him the faid William Hacket, than ever he did by any of all the Prophets, for the eftablishment of his Gospel, to the confufion of Satan and Antichrift.

That the faid Hacket bad laid two feveral Charges in the name of Christ upon them two, which they must needs perform or execute; the one upon Arthington of Prophecy, concerning the end of the World; the other upon Coppinger, of painting out the good and bad in the World, or in thefe parts of the World; and one of them bad in purpose or charge to read over the whole Bible for proof of their Office and Bufinefs.

Lancaster (mean- muli fcabunt. ing a Schoolmaster in Shoe-Lane) was above them both, in the ftate of heavenly glory, because be had kept himself undefiled from the common Corruptions of thefe Times, and had a most fingle

heart to God.
