MY DEAR BRETHREN,

HE Providence of God, which firft ordain'd a fpiritual Relation between us, has feen fit" to place me at a Distance from

you now; but wherever my Lot falls, I hope my Concern for your eternal Welfare will always be the fame; he that heareth Prayer, I truft, will one Day bear witness to this: In the mean time, to give fome fmall Inftance of it more im mediately to yourfelves, I here tender to you a fhort Scheme of our Chriftian Duty (drawn up in the vacant Hours of my Retirement) with fome peculiar Remarks on the ordinary Occafions of our miscarrying in the Performance of it, principally intended for your fpiritual Ufe and Benefit, that my Pen might fupply (in fome meafure) what my fealed Lips are not otherwife allow'd to do.
