Mr. Preston Robinson still kindly acts as lay reader, under the Bishop's license. The small amount of offerings at Calvary Church, (about $600 below the average yearly income of the last six years,) is due to the depressed condition of the mining regions, which has affected especially the members of this congregation. The spiritual work has been sustained about as usual.

year.

REMARKS Watsontown. (Holy Cross): This report is only a partial one, for eight months from Oct. 1876. The Mission at Dewart has been reported with Watsontown, as it has been impossible to make a separate report this Services are held at this town every Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, in the Baptist House of Worship. If a church building can be secured for our little flock at this point, it would give an impetus to church work, and be an encouragement to the interest that is at present taken by the people. Dewart, (Zion Church) Services of the Church were begun at this point with the first of the year, and have been heid regularly, until lately, every Tuesday or Friday evening, in the Albright Meeting House. At present services are held at 5 P. M, every Sunday, in connection with Milton and Watsontown. Seven children have been baptized. The village has from 300 to 400 inhabitants, and the Evangelicals were the only body that had religious services here, and they only once in two weeks. The prospect is very good for the building of a church. The timber has been promised, as also the stone for foundation, and a part of the plastering. With the assistance of others interested in the work, it is expected that a pretty and churchly building will be erected within the next year. Thus from Milton to Dewart and beyond, along the West Branch, the ground is occupied for the Church. The three points have between them furnished the Missiona ry a conveyance
