Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all ther's sins, which he hath done, and conth, and doeth not such like, 15 that hath iten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted is eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, not defiled his neighbour's wife, 16 nei. nath wronged any, hath not taken aught to e, neither hath taken by robbery, but hath his bread to the hungry, and hath covered aked with a garment, 17 that hath withi his hand from the poor, that hath not ed interest nor increase, hath executed

When on hath done that which is lawful and and hath kept all My statutes, and hath them, he shall surely live. 20 The soul inneth, it shall die; the son shall not bear niquity of the father with him, neither the father bear the iniquity of the son him; the righteousness of the righteous be upon him, and the wickedness of the d shall be upon him. 24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered; for his trespass that he trespassed, and for his sin that he hath sinned, for them shall he die. 25 Yet ye say: The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is it My way that is not equal? is it not your ways that are unequal? 26 When the righteous man turneth away from his righteous. ness, and committeth iniquity, he shall die therefor; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. 27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. 28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 29 Yet saith the house of Israel: The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, is it My ways that are not equal? is it not your ways that are unequal? 30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Call to Repentance
And the word of the LORD came unto me,
saying: 2 'Son of man, speak to the chilI of thy people, and say unto them: When I g the sword upon a land, if the people of land take a man from among them, and set
for their watchman; 3 if, when he seeth sword come upon the land, he blow the 1, and warn the people; 4 then whosoever eth the sound of the horn, and taketh not ring, if the sword come, and take him aw blood shall be upon his own head; 5 he d the sound of the horn, and took not iing, his blood shall be upon him; whereas e had taken warning, he would have deed his soul. 6 But if the watchman see sword come, and blow not the horn, and people be not warned, and the sword do :, and take any person from among them, ; taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I require at the watchman's hand. So thou, son of man, I have set thee a hman unto the house of Israel; therefore, I thou shalt hear the word at My mouth,
them from Me. 8 When I say unto the ed: O wicked man, thou shalt surely die,

and thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thy hand. 9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he turn not from his way; he shall die in his inquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul.
10 Therefore, O thou son of man, say unto the house of Israel: Thus ye speak, saying: Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live? 11 Say unto them: As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?'
Prophecy of the Dry Bones
37 the Lord carried me out in a spirit
set me down in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones; 2 and He caused me to pass by them round about, and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. 3 And He said unto me: 'Son of man, can these bones live?' And I answered: 'O Lord God, Thou knowest.' 4 Then He said unto me: 'Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them: O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD: 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live. 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall that I am the LORD.' 7 So I prophesied as commanded; and as I prophesied, there noise, and behold a commotion, and the came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I 1, and, lo, there were sinews upon them, lesh came up, and skin covered them ; but there was no breath in them. en said He unto me: 'Prophesy unto the 1, prophesy, son of man, and say to the 2: Thus saith the Lord God: Come from our winds, O breath, and breathe upon slain, that they may live.' 10 So I prophas He commanded me, and the breath into them, and they lived, and stood up
their feet, an exceeding great host. hen He said unto me: 'Son of man, these i are the whole house of Israel; behold, say: Our bones are dried up, and our is lost; we are clean cut off. 12 Therefore hesy, and say unto them: Thus saith the

And the word of the LORD came unto me, ig: 16 ‘And thou, son of man, take thee stick, and write upon it: For Judah, and the children of Israel his companions; then
