For with thee is propitiation:*And becaufe of thy law I have waited for thee, O Lord.

My foul hath relied on his word:*My foul hath hoped in the Lord.

From the morning watch even until night:*

Domine, exaudi vocem

meam.

Fiant aures tuæ intendentes,*in vocem deprecationis meæ.

Si iniquitates obfervaveris, Domine :*Domine, quis fuftinebit?

Quia apud te propitiatio eft:*Et propter legem tuam fuftinui te, Domine.

Suftinuit anima mea in verbo cjus :*Speravit anima mea in Domino.

A cuftodiâ matutinâ ufque ad noctem :*Spe

God, the creator and redeemer of all the faithful, grant thy fervants remiffion of all their fins: That by pious fupplications they may obtain that pardon, which they have ever defired. Thro' Christ our Lord. R. Amen.

By the Orders of the Catholick Church N. day in the enfuing week is a fast, or abftinence, being the Vigil, or N. N. is a holiday of obligation, being the feaft of N, which you are to fanctify by (refting from fervile work) affifting at divine fervice, hearing the word of God, and meditating on holy things. And remember, that what is the most agreeable to God on thofe days, is to avoid fin, live in peace and Chriftian charity with one another, and faithfully to obferve his holy commandments, that departing this life in the ftate of grace, you may immediately be tranflated to the kingdom of heaven, thro' the merits of Jefus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The ORDINARY of the MASS adapted to the use of the LAITY, when they go to COMMUNION, and when they do not. While the Priest is vesting, say the following prayer.

Pr. Send forth thy light, and fulfil thy promife; they have led me on, and brought me to thy holy mount, and into thy tabernacles.

P. As it was in the beginning, now is, and evermore fhall be world without end. Amen.

I confefs to Almighty God, to bleffed Mary ever a Virgin, to bleffed Michael the Archangel, to bleffed John the Baptift, to the holy Apoftles Peter, and Paul, to all the Saints, and to thee, O Father, that I have grievously finned in thought, in word, and in deed; thro' my fault, thro' my fault, thro' my exceeding great fault. Therefore I beseech the bleffed Mary ever a Virgin, bleffed Michael the Archangel, bleffed John the Baptift, the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, all the Saints, and thee, O Father, to pray to the Lord our God for me.

Pr. May Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you your fins, and bring you to life everlafting.
