Rant, O Lord God, we beseech thee, that we

thy fervants may enjoy a conftant health of body and mind, and, by the glorious interceffion of blefled Mary ever a Virgin, be delivered from all temporal afflictions, and come to thofe joys, that are eternal. Thro'.

ROM the beginning, and before all ages was I created; and I fhall not cease to be in the world to come: and I miniftred before him in his holy abode. T that time: While Jesus spoke to the multitude: A certain woman from the croud, raising her voice, faid to him: Bleffed is the womb that bore thee, and the breafts that gave thee fuck. But he faid: Yea rather, bleffed are they, who hear the word of God, and keep it.

Thou art truly happy, O facred Virgin Mary, and moft worthy of all praife for out of thee arofe the fun of righteousness, Christ our God.

SECRET.

AY, O Lord, by thy own mercy, and the interceffion of blefied Mary, ever a Virgin, this oblation procure us peace and happiness both in this life, and in that which is to come. Thro'

Bleffed is the womb of Mary the Virgin, which bore the Son of the eternal Father.

'Aving received, O Lord, what is to advance our falvation; grant we may always be protected by the patronage of bleffed Mary, ever a Virgin, in whofe honour we have offered this facrifice to thy majefty. Thro'.

INTROIT.LTEAR, O God, my prayer, and Pf. liv. S defpife not my petition: look down upon me, and hear me. Pf. I am become forrowful in my exercife: I have been frightened with the voice of my enemy, and at the distress the finner hath brought upon me. V. Glory.

Almighty and everlafting God, the eternal falvation of them that believe in thee; hear us in behalf of thy fervants, who are fick, for whom we humbly crave the help of thy mercy, that, their health being reftored to them, they may render thanks to thee in thy Church. Thro'.

Almighty and merciful God, who haft prepared for mankind the means of falvation, and the rewards of eternal life: look down, in thy mercy, on thy fervant now labouring under the extremity of fickness, and be thou the comfort of his, or, her

foul, which thou haft created: that, at the hour of death, it may be prefented to thee, by the hands of the angels, without fpot. Thro'.

EPISTLE. James v. 13, 16. BRethren: Is any of you fad? Let him pray. Is he chearful in mind? Let him fing pfalms. Is any one fick among you? Let him bring in the priests of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith fhall fave the fick man: and the Lord fhall raife him up: and if he be in fins, they shall be forgiven him. Confefs therefore your fins one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be faved.

GOSPEL. Matt. viii. 5. God, by whofe pleasure the moments of our life are numbered, receive the prayers and facrifices of thy fervants, for whom, in their ficknefs, we implore thy mercy; that we may rejoice in the health of thofe, whom we now apprehend in danger. Thro'.

Eceive, O Lord, the facrifice we offer for thy fervant, who is near the end of his, or, her life; and grant, that by it all his, or her, fins may be cleanfed away, that he, or fhe, who is chaftifed by thy appointment in this life, may obtain eternal reft in that to come. Thro'.
