About the author (2009)

Jeffrey H. Norwitz has been in law enforcement for 28 years. Formerly an Army Captain in Military Police and an El Paso County, Colorado, Deputy Sheriff, he has served tours in California; Washington, DC; Rhode Island; Okinawa; Thailand; and Kuwait; as well as aboard submarines and surface combatants. He represents the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at the U.S. Naval War College, where he is a Professor of National Security Decision Making. He holds a criminal justice undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a master of arts degree in strategic studies from the Naval War College.
