5. (b) Prove that the area of a right-angled triangle is one-half of the rectangle contained by the two sides. 6. A finite straight line AB is bisected at C, and P is any external point. Prove that

(b) PA + PB is not less than 2 PC.

7. Show how to draw the two tangents to a circle. from an external point, and prove that they are equal in length.

Show also how to draw the two tangents to a circle which are parallel to a given straight line.

8. (b) A, B, C are three fixed points on a circle, and P is any point on the tangent at C. Prove that the angle APB is always less than the angle ACB.

9. Through a fixed point 0 on a given circle, chords OP, OQ, OR... are drawn to meet the circle in the points P, Q, R.... Find the locus of the middle points of all these chords.
