The Presbyterian Home for Widows and Single

Women.

FIFTY-EIGHTH STREET AND DARBY ROAD.

Organized November, 1872.

The object is to provide a Home for Aged and Infirm Members of the Presbyterian Church, in all its branches, residing in the State of Pennsylvania.

Applicants for admission must be recommended by the Session of the church to which they belong.

It is governed by a Board of Managers elected from the various Presbyterian churches of Philadelphia and adjacent counties.

Those admitted are required to pay their board, or an admission fee of one hundred and fifty dollars.

Indigent Widows' and Single Women's Society of Philadelphia.

CHERRY STREET BELOW 18TH. FOUNDED IN 1817.

Eighty-one inmates receive the benefits of this charity, and many applicants are waiting for admission. They must be at least 60 years of age, must have satisfactory references, and, if possessed of any property, must assign it to the Asylum. Application must be made to a Committee of the Board of Managers.

ASYLUM 21ST AND RACE STREETS. FOUNDED IN 1801.

The object of this Society is to reclaim fallen women, and to fit them for useful positions in life.

Twenty dollars subscribed at one time constitutes a

Life Membership.

One hundred and fifty dollars will

support one inmate a year.

A legacy of two thousand

dollars constitutes a Perpetual Fund for the support of one inmate.
