This is probably the last play of the kind written in England, and it is one of the most curious. There are sixteen dramatis personae, but these parts are to be played by six actors. Not in the Hoe or Huth collections. It is one of the most important plays in English dramatic history. (See Collier's Dramatic Poetry, Vol. II, p. 357).
