WILLIAM MACINTOSH, 24, PATERNOSTER ROW:
JOHNSON AND GREEN, 149, LORD STREET, SOUTHPORT.

[blocks in formation]

BAPTISM.

Grant, O Lord, that as we are baptized into the death of Thy blessed Son our Saviour Jesus Christ, 80 by continual mortifying our corrupt affections we may be buried with Him; and that through the grave, and gate of death, we may pass to our joyful resurrection; for His merits, who died, and was buried, and rose again for us, Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

OH! for a heart to praise my God;

A heart from sin set free;
A heart that's sprinkled with the blood

So freely shed for me!
A heart resigned, submissive, meek,

My dear Redeemer's throne;
Where only Christ is heard to speak,

Where Jesus reigns alone!
An humble, lowly, contrite heart,

Believing, true, and clean;
Which neither life nor death can part

From Him that dwells within !

A heart in every thought renewed,

And filled with love divine;
Perfect, and right, and pure, and good;

A copy, Lord, of Thine!
Thy nature, gracious Lord ! impart;

Come quickly from above;
Write Thy new name upon my heart,

Thy new, best name of Love.
